I have never been a fan of sterile spaces in the home, I love to see people’s belongings, signs of life and small hints of who inhabits the house. In the bathroom, much like the kitchen, I promote placing things that you use often to be at hand, on the countertop, and organized in sensible but pretty containers. I always display makeup brushes, toothbrushes and pretty soaps, and I love having a vanity tray to stash a ring dish or stray pair of earrings. I love using vintage objects like old ironstone or transferware, but sometimes it’s nice to mix fresh new items in and certainly I love any excuse to swap out a fragrance, lipstick or even a new toothbrush. (They say every 60 days??) Below are some of my favorite vanity toppers, as well as some items to go inside them!
