There is undoubtedly a resurgence of all things frilly, girly, feminine and old school- including skirted upholstery with ruffles, pleats and the like. One of the reasons I designed a dressing table in my collection was to return to the nostalgia of the past- times when life was slower, more old fashioned, and cozy. Skirts don’t have to be fussy, in fact, they can be juxtaposed with more modern pieces or even retro looking ones to create a super cool decor vibe.
