Why Your Bathroom should feel like a Room and not a Transactional Space

Why Your Bathroom should feel like a Room and not a Transactional Space

Oftentimes, people think of bathrooms as places to conduct business rather than luxuriate, and maybe that is why these types of transactional rooms get second fiddle to other “more high profile spaces” like bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms.

I want that to change!

Your own bathroom should be your workhorse but it should also be your private Idaho!  Is it en suite to a bedroom?  Is it in a shared hallway?  What and who does it service?  What are the connections and sightlines?  Ask yourself these questions when designing your bath.  How will you move about?  Are the ergonomics right?  You never want to move in a way that is unnatural whether it's getting in and out of the tub, reaching for TP or bending down to grab your hair iron.

Do you want to feel like you are in nature, or in a bubble or even a dream?  How do you disconnect and how do you recharge?  Ask yourself all of this when you are making a bathroom for yourself, and here’s hoping one of our Vanity and Co. pieces make the cut!
