When it comes to giving holiday gifts that feel personal, I'm of two mindsets. On the one hand, what could be more personal than handing someone a beautiful card with some cash or a gift card so they can choose a gift they really love? On the other hand, it's an amazing feeling to open up a box with something that feels luxurious, unique or nostalgic and chosen just for you.
In my interior designs and now with Vanity & Co., luxury and nostalgia are at the heart of everything we do. When I was asked by my team to curate the ultimate holiday gift guide for 2024, I immediately scanned the room for some of the items I reach for the most, like the L.L. Bean totes we use for each of our projects (personalizing it with a cheeky saying like "So Vain" or monogram like "UGH" is such a fun gift idea). L.L. Bean is so old school, and yet still so chic. I also thought of things I want and have yet to buy myself, like a Missoni robe for when I'm feeling colorful, or a new YSL bag. Lastly, there are cozy items like slippers (I have a vast collection) and a warm coat from Madewell that always go over well at holiday time. Gift should be warm after all.
