I am famous in my circles for instituting all sorts of impractical but pretty practices. One of them has always been displaying pretty bath towels on towel bars that are specifically for decoration. They are to be left there and never used. Sounds reasonable, right? Well, it’s perfectly understandable; who wants their towels ratted and crumpled up and refolded on a bar- if it’s for display then it’s for DISPLAY not use. That’s what hooks were made for!
